Christy’s career in managed care began when she joined PREFERRED in 1995. Promoted to her current position as vice president in September of 1999, Christy oversees payor contracting & payor relations, provider relations, data updates, and general trouble-shooting. Christy is actively involved in the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations (AAPPO) and the National Association of Specialty Health Organizations (NASHO), participating on a number of committees and serving as chairperson of Rules, Bylaws, and Nominations for NASHO. She is also on the Board of Directors of the AAPPO Pacific Regional Chapter.
Sam Ceja has been with PREFERRED since 2008, and is our General Manager. In addition to his supervisory duties, Sam is responsible for overall day-to-day operations, oversees our QA committee, and also assists in Provider Relations issues.
Christine joined PREFERRED in May of 2006. Her responsibilities include processing new members, 90-day new member grids, end of month reports, encores, monthly board meeting and minutes, annual audits, and she is also a part of the QA and provider relations teams. Christine enjoys working with the Providers in PREFERRED’s network and looks forward to meeting and helping many more.
Pat joined PREFERRED Therapy Providers in October, 2001, and has been involved in many administrative tasks. Currently, Pat’s primary responsibility is to create monthly reports for each of PREFERRED’s payor clients, notifying them of changes and updates in network clinics. An enthusiastic member of the PREFERRED team, Pat enjoys working with her co-workers as well as the many payor and provider clients associated with the company.
Alma joined the PREFERRED team in October 2007. Her background includes sales/marketing and business consulting for physical therapy clinics in private practice. Alma’s primary responsibilities are network development and provider recruitment, strategic marketing campaigns, and serving as a resource for providers to ensure they receive the most benefits from network participation. She is also responsible for the growth and oversight of PREFERRED’s workers compensation network, marketing to employers and other large organizations to secure relationships that will help increase referrals of injured workers to our private practitioners.
Sandy worked as a consultant for PREFERRED in 1993, eventually joining the company as its financial associate in 2002. Her duties include all financial aspects of PREFERRED, as well as assisting in operations.
Sandy truly enjoys her time interacting with network providers, and is a loyal and involved member of the
PREFERRED team.
Lorrie is part of PREFERRED's credentialing team and has been with the company since July of 2011. Her primary responsibilities include processing new therapist applications, verifying practitioner data according to national credentialing standards, re-credentialing, adding/removing therapist links from provider records as needed and performing several in-house audits. Prior to joining PREFERRED, Lorrie worked in medical credentialing and has had extensive experience in office administration, human resources, accounting and customer service. She is a “people person” and enjoys working with the friendly clients and staff of PREFERRED.
