PREFERRED's contracts accommodate a variety of network access scenarios including national, region-specific, state-specific, by city, county, zip, facility, or by specific practitioner.

Credentialing and Central Network Management
PREFERRED is delegated by payors to credential providers. Our network members undergo a rigorous credentialing process prior to joining the network. Primary source verification is completed in accordance with NCQA standards. We manage the network from our corporate office in Phoenix, Arizona allowing us to maintain data accuracy.

Flexibility and Scope
By contracting with PREFERRED nationally, payors and PPOs enhance their outpatient rehabilitation coverage. Our structure allows contracted PPOs and payors access to all of PREFERRED's network or works with them to find the best possible connection to the providers in the network.

Therapy Locator Service
This unique service is offered to contracted PPOs and payors. Our referral center assists plan representatives in placing a referral to the correct provider. If PREFERRED does not have a contracted provider in a designated area, we partner with the case manager or payor representative in locating a qualified provider.

Cost Containment
PREFERRED has over 10 years of experience assisting payors with historical analysis of therapeutic services, delivery and costs, as well as the development of referral guidelines and protocols.

Provider Education and Compliance
Communication is the best connection we have to our providers. Either by telephone, e-mail, newsletters, or fax blasts, we continually communicate to our provider community about upcoming conferences, membership compliance with our policies, and new and existing payor relationships. In addition, we extend invitations to payor representatives to our Annual Tactical Conference each May in Scottsdale, AZ.
