PREFERRED is the only rehabilitation network that performs ongoing monitoring of practitioner credentials. License to Practice Sanctions and Professional Liability Activity details are reviewed on a monthly basis through reports generated by primary source verification. This feature distinguishes each PREFERRED practitioner as the sole provider who treats plan enrollees, surpasses compliance guidelines, and remains compliant between credentialing cycles. (Elements and sources may be amended periodically in accordance with NCQA requirements.)
Effective August 1, 2003, PREFERRED Therapy Providers, Inc. will be implementing Primary Source Verification (PSV) of all practitioner elements in accordance with standards set forth by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
